Objective: 

Course Objectives:

This course will enable the students -

  1. To identify the patterns and establish its meaning to understand the historical developments and changes in Politics, Religion and Society in India.
  2. To impart the knowledge in Historical Casuality-to study the Political developments, Imperialism and Monarchical pattern of governance during the Gupta, Vardhana and the Rajput period.
  3. To study the development in society, art, and culture during the Gupta, Vardhana and the Rajput period.

The students will be able to–

CO6- Develop an understanding about the emergence , political, social and cultural development of the Gupta empire.

CO7- Assess the contribution of Harshvardhan to the political development of Vardhana dynasty.

 CO8- Comprehend the contribution of Rajputs to polity, society and culture in Northern India.

CO 9-Deepen understanding about Tripartite Struggle, Society, Polity, Art & Religion during the Rajput period.

CO10- Outline the development in Arts, Architecture and literature in pre-medieval India.
