Objective: 

This course will enable the students to gain information about the role of Museums in the preservation of Heritage. It will make them understand the importance of Archival Science in the study of History and encourage them to pursue careers in various Museums and Archives in India and abroad.

CO1- Examine the definition, types and various movements of Museology and role of Curator.

CO2- Develop the technique of collection and conservation of objects of museums

CO3- Evaluate

Meaning, Scope, Objectives, Importance, Classes of Archives

and Classification of Records

CO4- Analyse the management of Archives and Understand the appraisal and retention of Records Conservation and Preservation of Records Digital Archives

CO5- gain hands-on experiences through visit to a museum.

CO6-Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction

Approach in teaching:

Orientation of methods of conflict resolution, Case studies based on management and resolution of various conflicts in different regions, Lectures, Classroom discussions based on real life situations and case studies

Self-learning assignments, Effective questions, Seminar presentation, Giving tasks.
