Objective: 

This course will enable the students to identify key political and economic developments in modern world history. It covers a wide range of periods, starting from the Renaissance and extending through major revolutions, including the American and French Revolutions. Furthermore, it examines the balance of power in Europe during significant periods such as the era of Napoleon Bonaparte and Metternich. Additionally, students will explore the emergence of new social movements, political ideologies, and structures within the context of the developing capitalism of the nineteenth century

CO25- Examine factors driving the European Renaissance, including humanism, feudalism decline, classical revival, trade.

CO26-Examine the forces that led to the Reformation in Europe and assess its impact and the American War of Independence.

CO27-Delineate the Agricultural and Industrial Revolution in Europe and the rise of new social classes.

CO28- Assess the French Revolution,later developments and long term repercussions.

CO29-Analyse the era of revolution and change in Europe from 1815-1848 and the Crimean War.

CO30-Contribute effectively in course-specific interaction
