Objective: 

Course Objectives

In this course, students will delve into the rich historical tapestry of Rajasthan, focusing on the Chalcolithic and Copper Age cultures spanning from 600 B.C. to 700 A.D. They will critically evaluate theories surrounding the origins of the Rajputs and assess the political and cultural accomplishments of notable dynasties such as the Pratiharas, Chauhans, and Mewar rulers. Furthermore, students will analyze the intricate dynamics of Mughal-Rajput relations, examining their interactions with key states of Rajputana. Through this exploration, students will gain a nuanced understanding of the historical complexities that shaped the region's cultural, political, and social landscape.
