Objective: 

Course Objectives

This course will enable the students

  1. To understand the developments of the Twentieth Century World, Cold war, Communist
    1. Revolution in China
  2. To get acquainted with UNO and its role in World peace, Nonaligned Movement Tensions and conflicts in Palestine, Cuba, Korea, and Vietnam
  3. To develop an understanding about Third World Countries and their socio-economic problems.
  4.  To study about European Union and new emerging economic powers.
  5. To deepen understanding about the contemporary issues of 20th century world like Human Rights Movement, Apartheid, Feminism, Globalization and Environmental concerns

The students will be able to -

CO46-Develop an understanding on  causes and aftermath of the Cold War and Emergence of Uni - Polar World.

CO47-Critically analyse UNO and World Peace and Tensions and conflicts in Palestine, Cuba, Korea, and Vietnam and also know about Non-aligned Movements and its role in World affairs.

CO48- Assess the various Social, Health, Education and Economic Problems: Poverty and Development of Third World Countries

CO49- Comprehend the birth of European Union and New Emerging Economic Powers-China, Brazil and India.

CO50- learn about the human Rights Movement, Apartheid and Globalization-Nature and Impact.
