Objective: 

Course Objectives

This course will enable the students -

  1. To develop an understanding about the various Ideologies of Twentieth Century and their impact on the world
  2.  To get acquainted with the Causes and Consequences of the first World War and Russian Revolution
  3.  To deepen understanding about the factors that led to the rise of Nazism, Fascism in Germany and Italy and Militarism in Japan and rise of dictatorship
  4. To correlate the growth of Nazism, Fascism and such tendencies to the outbreak of World War II.

Twentieth Century World – I (1900-1939)

 

The students will be able –

CO6- Students will understand the various Ideologies of Twentieth Century and their impact on the world. Ideologies are Imperialism, Nationalism, Socialism and Capitalism.

CO 7- Students will get acquainted with the Causes and Consequences of the First World War and Understand about Paris Peace Settlement and League of Nations

CO 8- Students will gain knowledge about Revolution of 1905 and causes and nature of Russian Revolution of 1917.

CO 9- To understand Nazism, Fascism in Germany and Italy and Militarism in Japan and rise of dictatorship. Economic Depression and its Consequences.

CO 10- Learn about the causes and aftermaths of the Second World War, Nationalist Movements and the process of Decolonization in Asia.
