  1. To understand the meaning, nature and scope of History.
  2. To develop the Knowledge, understanding of the Historical Fact and its Interpretation
  3. To deepen the knowledge about the theories of History-Cyclical and Linear

Theories and Methods of History

 

The students will be able -

CO1-Understand the Meaning, Nature and scope of History.

CO2-Students  will understand the historical Fact and its Interpretation in History

CO3- Students will acquire the knowledge of Causation, Objectivity and Generalization in History.

CO4- Students will gain the knowledge of the various theories of History – Cyclical with special reference to Spengler and Toynbee.

CO5 -Students will understand the various Linear Theories of History such as Christian, Marx, Hegel and Acton.
