Objective:

Course Objectives:

This course will enable the students -

To acquaint the students with the various political developments in India with particular reference to the Marathas and Bengal and the emergence of Regional powers and their absorption in the British Empire.
To deepen understand the establishment, development and growth of British paramountcy shall be dealt extensively along with the uprising of 1857.

The students will be able –

CO49- To develop comprehension about the III Battle of Panipat.

CO50- To get knowledge about the nature of Maratha polity and the contribution of Mahadji and Nana Phadnavis in Maratha politics.

CO51-To acquaint the students with the various political developments in India with particular reference to Bengal, the emergence of regional powers and their absorption in the British Empire

CO52- To deepen the understanding about the Anglo – Mysore and Anglo Sikh Wars and the role of Hyder Ali , Tipu Sultan and Ranjit Singh.

CO53- To understand the nature and causes of 1857 Revolt
