Interactive session with the students New Jersey (USA)

The Department of History, IIS (deemed to University) had the privilege of hosting a student exchange contingent from the College of New Jersey (USA) on January 13, 2020. 10 Students of the College were accompanied by two Faculty members-Prof. Marla Jacksh and a Dean. The students of New Jersey introduced themselves. Prof. Sharad Rathore, Head department of History welcomed the students. The students of the Department welcomed the students with garlands of flowers .This was followed by the Guest lecture on Royalty in Transition. She started with her presentation through an overview of Indian History while,emphasizing the position of women in Rajasthan through various periods. The students raised various questions and pointed out key insights from the discourse.The students had made a background reading of the material and had many queries related to the issue, which were answered by Professor Rathore. This was then followed by a formal vote of Thanks which was delivered by Ms Aadya Sharma from Semester IV of the Department.

This session ended with a group photograph of the students from the College of New Jersey along with the students of Department of History of the University. This session was an enriching experience and was appreciated by all.
