Guest Lecture on Use of Oral Sources to Enrich the Socio-Economic History of the Walled City of Jaipur

The Department of History organized a Guest lecture on Guest Lecture on Use of Oral Sources to Enrich the Socio-Economic History of the Walled City of Jaipur for the students of final year of Department of History on 8th December 2015. The Guest Speaker on this occasion was Prof U.C. Chaturvedi, Former Head, Department of History and Indian Culture, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur.

 The guest was welcomed by floral greetings by the head of the Dept. Professor Sharad Rathore, who introduced him to the students. The speaker started with the importance of oral history to know about the social and economic history of any place. He also discussed about the relevance of right questionnaire to be used for interviewing people. Questions related to the topic of research must be included with lot of concern and careful review.
