Guest Lecture on Peasant Movement in Rajasthan

A guest lecture on Peasant Movement in Rajasthan was organized for Semester II students of the Department on 23th August, 2018. Prof. B.K. Sharma, Former Professor of History, IGNOU. He is the author of the Book ’Peasants Movement’ in Rajasthan. He delivered this lecture in which he talked about the circumstances and the causes that led to the Peasant Movements in the princely states of Bijolian & Begu. He also highlighted the activities through which the peasant’s exhibition their opposition to resist the orders of the Thikanas.

This lecture was related to curriculum in Semester II, which helped the students to comprehend the topic well. Ms. Aadya Sharma proposed a vote of Thanks to the Prof. Sharma for his enlightening lecture.
