A Guest lecture on feminism as experience  : Women we forgot to include in History by C S Lakshmi, Director of Sparrow Organisation(Research on Women)Mumbai was organized for the Department of History on 21st February,2018.The lecture focused on the absence of women from the mainstream History which has created a vacuum which cannot be filled. She highlighted the significant role of women in Freedom struggle in which the women took up leadership and supportive roles. They accompanied the men in the Marches such as Dandi March and other Satyagraha Programmes of Mahatma Gandhi. It was an enlightening session and was much liked by the students of the Department, who asked many questions from the Guest speakers and felt satisfied with the responses. Ms. Neha Thakur proposed a formal vote of Thanks to the speaker.
