                                             Guest Lecture Report

A guest lecture on “Earliest Chalcolithic Culture of Mewar-Ahar” was organized on 26th October 2021 at 1:45 pm in the Vinayak Hall. The speaker on this occasion was Professor Lalit Pandey, Department of History, Jyoti Vidhyapeeth Women University, Udaipur.

The guest was welcomed by Professor Sharad Rathore, who gave a short introduction about him. Dr. Pandey presented an outline about the Ahar culture, also known as the Banas culture, which is a Chalcolithic site on the banks of Ahar River of Southeastern Rajasthan in India, lasting from c. 3000 to 1500 BCE, contemporary and adjacent to the Indus Valley Civilization.

This lecture aimed to acquaint the students with Ahar Culture. The lecture was followed by a question answer session in which the speaker answered the queries of the students. Lastly, Navya Sharma, a student from the Department of history presented the vote of thanks to the guest.
