Course Objectives
This course empowers students to delve into the post-World War II geopolitical landscape, examining the evolving polities and their impact on global politics. They will analyze the role of the United Nations in fostering world peace amidst shifting power dynamics. Additionally, students will assess the factors contributing to the emergence of Third World Countries and their socio-economic challenges, alongside the formation of the European Union. Moreover, they will identify and scrutinize contemporary issues such as the Human Rights Movement, Apartheid, Feminism, Globalization, and Environmental concerns that have shaped the 20th-century world. Through this exploration, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the complex dynamics that have defined modern global affairs.
