Objective: 

 Course Objectives -

This course aims to equip students with a thorough understanding of key historical events in Rajasthan. It delves into the circumstances leading to Maratha interference and the subsequent British treaties of 1818. Additionally, students will gain insight into the social and cultural awakening, administrative and judicial changes post-1818, along with relevant legislation and contemporary developments. The course also involves a critical analysis of British economic policies, agrarian unrest, the freedom struggle, and the integration of Rajasthan states.

Rajasthan in the 19th-20th Century

CO43- Critically examine Maratha politics in Rajasthan and British treaties with princely states in the early nineteenth century.

CO44- Evaluate the social and cultural awakening in Rajasthan, including the roles of Walter Sabha, Desh Hiteshini, Arya Samaj, and social legislation. Also, analyze the monopolies on salt and opium trade in the region.

CO45- Write an estimate on the Growth of Modern Education and Administrative and Judicial Changes after 1818

CO46- Explore the formation of Prajamandal in various regions and the evolution of tribal and peasant movements, particularly the Bhil, Bhagat, and Bijolia movements.

CO47- Evaluate the Freedom Struggle in Rajasthan and also Learn the Process of Integration of the states of Rajasthan
