Objective: 

Course Objectives:

This course will enable the students -

  1. To acquaint students with the political developments in Europe in the Modern Period.
  2. To understand the process of unification of states, Revolution in Russia and China, rise of Fascism and Nazism and the two World Wars with the causes and its consequences on the world politics.
  3. To comprehend to students with the International relations from later 19th Century

CO31- Critically examine the process of the unification of Italy and Germany.

CO32-Apprise with the First World War and its consequences, Treaties concluded with a focus on the Treaty of Versailles and the League of Nations.

CO33-Develop an understanding of the Russian and the Chinese Revolution with the focus of San Yat Sen and the World Economic Depression.

CO34-Assess the rise of Nazism and Fascism and the establishment of Totalitarian state in Germany and Italy and their Foreign Policy.

CO35-Analyse the political developments that led to World War II  along with Objectives, Achievements and Limitations of  the United Nations
