Course Objectives:

This course will enable the students –

  1. To understand the sources of Ancient Indian History.
  2. To deepen the knowledge about the political and cultural achievements of Satavahana, Kushan and Vakatakas dynasty.
  3. To learn about the processes of cultural development during the period ( 78 A.D- 300 A.D)

The students will be able –

CO 75- Students will be made familiar with the different kinds of sources available for writing history of Ancient Indian (78 A.D  to 300 AD)  and origin and early History of the Satavahana and their Acheivements.

CO 76- Students will understand the rise of Kushanas dynasty and cultural and political achievements of Kanishka.

CO77-Students will develop an understanding of early history of the Sakas in India and political achievement of  Nahapana and Rudradaman.

CO78- Students will learn about the Vakatakas and their relations with the Imperial Guptas.and learn about the condition Society, Religion and Art.

CO79-Students will develop a comprehension of Social and Religious life and developments in art, architecture, literature and education during the periodC.78 A.D to 300 AD
